Chapter 76: Jealousy
The carriage of the Prime Minister’s mansion bumped along slowly through the streets of Jinling City. Outside the carriage, people came and went, with shouts, hawking calls, clamor, and a bustling hubbub of voices.
Inside the narrow carriage, two people, one in red and one in white, had their clothes half-removed.
Liu Changning pressed down on Pei Yuanshao’s body. She brushed aside the messy hair around his ear, leaned down, and took his earlobe, exposed to the air and red as if it could drip blood, into her mouth.
She teased in a serious tone: “How does Your Highness wish this official to serve you?”
The warm breath fell on Pei Yuanshao’s slender neck, the heat traveling down along his neck. Even his toes, curled under the carriage bench, were now tinged with a faint pink.
Feeling his earlobe being maliciously ground by teeth, an unbearable weakness came over him. He straightened his jaw, his sculpted lips trembling as they parted, letting out a low “mmm”.
With this sound, the breath escaping his lips became increasingly rapid. Beads of sweat slid down his well-defined face, landing in the carriage with a “plop”. The ambiance in the carriage heated up, ready to ignite at any moment.
Pei Yuanshao squinted his eyes and reached out his arms, climbing onto her shoulders. The woman before him appeared slender, but not weak. She leaned forward slightly, once again pressing down his arching body.
The Long Emperor frowned, her ink-black eyes tinged with a hint of unsatisfied desire.
She pursed her lips, tugging at the hair falling onto him, and coldly snorted: “Ziyuan thinks Cang Yun should be quite capable, but is only lazy all day. Just now when you were disciplining me… you were quite spirited. Now when you need to serve, you pretend not to know… Where’s the logic in that? Letting you bully me for nothing, without getting some benefits in return, if that’s the case…”
Pei Yuanshao’s eyes rolled, and he provoked: “If that’s the case, then my promise from earlier is off. Now that the weather is getting warmer, the Western Regions recently offered tribute of some sky silkworm silk, thin as cicada wings. When worn, it’s as if one isn’t wearing clothes at all, quite cool and refreshing.”
Pei Yuanshao looked at the increasingly darkening expression of the woman beside him, and fearlessly smiled: “Minister Liu, what do you say, next time should I have a long robe made of this to wear to court? Wouldn’t that look good?”
Liu Changning clenched her fist, her fingers opening and closing. She lowered her head, her teeth grinding.
She held his round earlobe in her mouth, tearing and gnawing at it, causing Pei Yuanshao’s provocative smile to freeze on his face. His body trembled lightly, his legs forced together, trying arduously to get closer again, but Liu Changning dodged sideways, refusing to go further.
“A’shao, do you want it?”
She raised her eyes, her almond eyes meeting his gaze, her cherry lips pressed into an extremely fine shallow crease.
She freed one hand to encircle his waist, her jade-white fingertips moving downward.
Skillfully untying his clothes, her fingers paused to draw circles on his lower abdomen, saying with a half-smile: “Where do you want it, here… or here?”
The man in red with clothes half-removed furrowed his brows tightly, fine beads of sweat appearing more and more on his forehead. He lowered his gaze with difficulty, and saw a flash of anger in Liu Changning’s heated gaze.
The Long Emperor, who had been courting death just now, suddenly felt a chill in his heart, and an uncontrollable low moan escaped from between his teeth.
He clung to her shoulders, his voice softening a bit, his lips pausing at her ear, his voice low and hoarse: “Mmm… I want it everywhere. Is Cang Yun so angry because she was jealous just now?”
Liu Changning’s circling hand paused briefly, the anger in her heart subsiding by half.
She raised an eyebrow: “Your Highness only now realizes I was jealous, isn’t it too late? I had thought to teach you a lesson or two, to make Ziyuan learn his lesson and be done with it. If you had obediently agreed to dress more properly in the future, why would I need to torment you like this, hmm?
Her cool fingertips set fires all over his body, her clear eyes tinged with half a hint of scorching heat. She said in a hoarse voice: “It’s just a pity that A’shao only remembers to eat but not to work! Do you know how many bastards were staring at your waist in court just now? If it were just that, it would be fine. But Your Highness even wants to wear sky silkworm silk gauze robes to improve these people’s eyesight, heh… tell me, how should I punish you!”
Her fingers roamed over his body as punishment, yet she still made no further moves.
She watched as every inch of his jade-white skin turned a deep red.
Pei Yuanshao’s body trembled continuously, and although the heat found no relief, at this moment his heart was filled with intense joy.
This was the first time Liu Cang Yun had directly told him she was jealous. After all these days of affectation, waiting for such words was more exciting than physical comfort.
Pei Yuanshao was truly delighted in his heart, his ink-black eyes rippling with light. He laughed out loud, his voice slightly panting: “…Ziyuan is guilty, I submit to wife-master’s punishment.”
“Punishment?” Liu Changning raised her eyebrows, her hand pausing on his round buttocks, tracing them finely. “I’m afraid it’s not punishment, Ziyuan is extremely happy in his heart, right?”
Through the last layer of modesty, the plump buttocks beneath her hand were firm, the skin-to-skin contact supple and radiating heat. Liu Changning lowered her eyelids, kneading again and again, until the light pink skin turned a deep, ambiguous red.
The man leaning against the carriage railing had eyes like silk threads. He laughed low and deep, allowing her to bully him: “Then… Ziyuan won’t move. If wife-master has anger in her heart, deal with me as you wish, anything is fine, hmm?”
The warm spring sun slanted into the carriage, casting a soft light over the man beneath. His jade-white skin appeared glossy and translucent.
Liu Changning lifted her eyelids, her eyes spreading with a faint trace of mischief.
She leaned down, her lips carrying a hint of coolness, falling like raindrops on his forehead, nose tip, ear shell, moving downward along his chiseled features, finally landing on his slightly upturned lips.
“A’shao must remember, since you belong to me now, Cang Yun cannot tolerate Your Highness being coveted by others.” Her lips pressed against his, her breath like orchids. One hand held his head, her body pressing down, pinning him firmly against the carriage railing, fitting tightly together.
“Alright, you make this official so uneasy, it’s better to marry me soon. Your Highness, pick an auspicious date. Shall we get married?”
